How to register with a dentist
Quick answer
How do I register with a new dentist?
There is no catchment area for dentists in England — you can join any practice that has space.
At York House Dental Practice in West Byfleet you simply book a new-patient consultation (£65, X-rays extra) online or on 01932 348864. We take a full medical and dental history, examine your teeth and gums, and give you a written plan with fees before any treatment starts.
What you need to know
Bring a list of medications (or a repeat prescription slip), details of any medical conditions, and any recent X-rays or treatment notes from your previous dentist if you have them. Tell us if you are nervous — we can slow things down and allow extra time.
There is no waiting list to join — book online or call and we will offer the first available new-patient appointment, or an emergency slot if you are in pain. Appointments run Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturday mornings from 9am to 2pm.
After your first visit you can pay as you go or join a membership plan. See new patients for the full first-visit guide, and contact us for opening hours and parking.
