Anti-wrinkle injections are prescription-only medicines. You'll always have a face-to-face consultation with a prescribing clinician, who checks your medical history before any treatment is agreed.
Common side effects
Redness, swelling, tenderness or small bruises at injection sites, and occasionally a headache. These usually settle within a few days.
Less common side effects
With anti-wrinkle injections, a temporary heavy or drooping brow or eyelid. With fillers, lumps or unevenness, which can often be massaged or adjusted. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel; this needs urgent treatment, so call us straight away if an area turns pale, blotchy or very painful.
Who shouldn't have treatment
We don't treat during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where there is skin infection at the site. Some neuromuscular conditions and medicines also rule treatment out — your clinician will check.
Aftercare
For the rest of the day, avoid rubbing the area, strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol. Keep upright for four hours after anti-wrinkle injections.
Results aren't permanent
Anti-wrinkle results usually last 3–4 months and fillers 6–18 months, so you'll need repeat treatment to maintain them.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?
No — our goal is always natural enhancement. We use precise dosing and strategic placement to soften lines while preserving natural facial expression. You'll still look like yourself, just more refreshed and youthful.
What is the recovery time?
There's minimal downtime with most treatments. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites, which typically resolves within a few hours to a few days. You can usually return to normal activities immediately.
Can I have treatment if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
For safety reasons, we do not perform aesthetic treatments during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are planning to become pregnant, we recommend completing your treatment before conception.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for 24-48 hours before treatment to minimise bruising. Come with a clean face and let us know if you have any medical conditions or allergies during your consultation.
What happens if I don't like the results?
Anti-wrinkle treatment naturally wears off over 3-4 months if you're not satisfied. Dermal filler can be dissolved using hyaluronidase if needed. We always schedule a follow-up appointment and encourage open communication about your results.
