Does Invisalign hurt?

Chewing may feel odd until the teeth settle into the new tray. Soft food for a day is sensible. Over-the-counter pain relief is fine if it is safe for you — follow the packet.

A slight lisp for a few days is common and almost always fades. Speech returns as your tongue learns the thin edge of the aligner. This is not a reason to stop wearing them.

If a tray will not seat, an attachment has come off, or you have lost a set, contact us rather than skipping ahead. Details live on the Invisalign treatment page.
